Otherwise is known as the “Coca-Cola Route” or the “Tourist Route”, Marangu route is the most popular route on the mountain. It is the only route that offers sleeping huts with drinks like Coca-Cola on the way. Considered to be the most tourist-friendly for Affordable Kilimanjaro Day Hike region, Marangu is the easiest route on Kilimanjaro. The ascent profile is very gradual and steady and allows painless trekking for most of the way. The route is mostly chosen by inexperienced climbers, due to its reputation as an easy route.

3 Hours Before Flight Time
Welcome to Tanzania! As your plane descends into Kilimanjaro International Airport between the snow-capped peaks of Mount Kilimanjaro and Mount Meru/Arusha airport your Affordable Kilimanjaro Day Hike into the wilds of the country will finally begin. A representative will meet you in the arrivals hall of the airport, and together you will make a short drive to the Venice Hotel just inside the city.
Our safari manager will come to meet you and to provide you with a safari briefing. A wonderful home-cooked dinner will be served on the spot – either in the dining room or the terrace overlooking the beautiful landscape.

08:00 AM: After breakfast you will be met by your mountain guide expert and set out for Mount Kilimanjaro day tour, packed with lunch boxes, a drive to Marangu where the gate for Mt. Kilimanjaro National park is, will take around 3 hours from Arusha town.
09:00 AM: At the gate, the guide will give you brief information about the hike then walk for about 3-4 hours to the first hut (Mandara hut) and you will arrive there in the afternoon.
01:00 PM: Lunch will be served when you reach the hut. From the hut, you have a great view over Moshi district.
02:00 PM: After your lunch, your guide will give you a short walk to Maundi Crater. After the great view of Maundi Crater you will walk down to Marangu gate and this walk will take you about 2 hours, walking slowly as you observe for anything that you might have missed on your way up.
04:00 PM: At Marangu National Park Gate you will meet with transport ready to take you back to your Hotel.

There are no power outlets at Kilimanjaro camps. Taking a power bank is therefore advisable. Solar power banks are also useful.
No, you can’t. The rules of Mount Kilimanjaro National Park expressly state that licensed guides shall accompany all trekkers.
